Tom Rogers, Former TiVo CEO And Founder Of NBC Cable Is Named As Chairman Of Captify

Today, global leader in Search Intelligence Captify, continues its senior hiring spree and announces Tom Rogers, one of the most prolific executives in US media, as Chairman of the company, effective immediately. Rogers will continue to serve as the current Executive Chairman of WinView Games and TRget Media.

Rogers’ multi-decade career runs parallel alongside pivotal industry transformations in TV and digital. He is well-recognized for his time as the President of NBC Cable, and the Executive Vice President and Chief Strategist at NBC, where he founded CNBC and established the NBC, Microsoft cable channel and internet joint venture, MSNBC. After NBC, Rogers served as president and CEO of TiVo, which changed TV viewing behavior forever, giving viewers unimagined control of how they watched TV through the introduction of DVR.

Speaking on his appointment, Rogers said:

“There is no doubt that insightful search data is at the center, understanding what the consumer most cares about and what they are likely to buy. Search data, more than any other data set, involves the user directly, saying what is most relevant to them.

Captify’s data – billions of search data points per month – along with its technology and rich insights provide brands and today’s CMOs with the ability to inform their media planning, campaign strategies, and overall marketing far more effectively.

When media ads are powered by Captify, consumers receive ads which go to the heart of their needs and passions, while advertisers purchased targeted inventory with vastly greater efficiency.”

“I’ve been following Captify’s journey since their entrance into the US market in 2016,” continued Rogers. “They’ve already won many of the big advertisers such as Comcast, Target and Volkswagen. I believe meaningful data is at the core of the advertising industry’s future, and Captify brings to the table unique search data at scale, a differentiation that advertisers will increasingly find indispensable. I’m delighted to work with the founders Dominic Joseph and Adam Ludwin in helping to shape Captify’s strategy, innovation and future.”

Captify’s CEO & co-founder, Dominic Joseph commented on the appointment:

“We are delighted to have Tom on board. His accomplishments and tenure in the media industry speaks for itself. Tom brings to Captify a wealth of experience that complements what we are trying to achieve as a company.”

“Captify has grown at an extraordinary rate around the world, particularly as of late in the US market. We look forward to continuing to power media and insights for the world’s leading brands.”
